Dear Parent or Guardian:
It’s hard to believe that summer vacation is here and another school year has come to an end. From the staff at Amerman, thank you for sharing your child/ren with us. There is no greater joy than watching the students in the Amerman community learn and grow over the course of the year. One year ago today, I visited Amerman for the first time and was welcomed by all of the kids. I have enjoyed learning with all of the students, staff, and parents at Amerman. I wanted to thank the students of Amerman for their leadership with the Student Lighthouse Team, Safeties, buddy program, and helping each other grow.
Thank you to the parent community at Amerman. I am truly amazed at the time an effort you put forth to help make Amerman a great place to learn and so welcoming. With all of the countless events and activities, the students and staff at Amerman are fortunate to have such a supporting group. Along with the parent group, I wanted to thank the PTA and all of the volunteers that help run programs for the PTA. Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours throughout the school year does not go unnoticed.
Lastly, thank you to the staff at Amerman. The amount of time and energy you spend during a school year for our kids is amazing. I enjoy learning alongside of you each day. The smile on the kids’ faces and their willingness to take risks when learning new topics demonstrate the learning community that you have built throughout the school year and over the course of many years. You can really tell how much of an impact you have on our students and we appreciate you.
Parents, enjoy your children this summer and remember to read each night. Reading with your child during the summer is important. Our first day of school for the 2017/2018 school year is September 5th. Open house for K-2nd grade is tentatively scheduled for August 30, 2017. More details will come your way in August. Again, thank you for a great year and we look forward to seeing you at the beginning of the next school year.
With Bobcat Pride,
Principal, Amerman Elementary
