New Leadership in Special Services at Northville Public Schools

At its meeting on Tuesday, August 26, the Northville Public Schools Board of Education approved the appointment of Jadie Kieft as the district’s next Executive Director of Special Services, effective with the start of the 2025–26 school year.

Kieft has served as Special Education Supervisor for Secondary Education at NPS since 2016. In this role, she has provided strong leadership and support for students, families, and staff, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs are met with care, advocacy, and high-quality services.

Prior to joining Northville, Kieft worked in Livonia Public Schools and Romulus Community Schools, where she held several roles including Elementary Program Specialist, Special Education Teacher, and Teacher Consultant. With nearly two decades of experience and a breadth of knowledge spanning the entire K–12 continuum, Kieft brings both expertise and passion to her new role.

“Jadie is a dedicated leader who has consistently demonstrated her commitment to ensuring that all students have the support and opportunities they need to succeed,” said Dr. RJ Webber, Superintendent of Northville Public Schools. “Her experience and vision will continue to strengthen our Special Services Department and benefit students across the district.”

Kieft’s appointment follows the departure of Elizabeth Santer, who recently accepted a new administrative role with Wayne RESA.

“I am honored to step into this role and continue serving the Northville community,” said Kieft.  As I start my 10th year in the district, I am reflecting on all the good things I have seen develop due to the hard work and dedication of our amazing staff.  The opportunities for all kids in Northville are nothing short of incredible!  I look forward to working alongside our talented staff, families, and students to build on the strong foundation already in place and to further our shared commitment to inclusive excellence.”
