Northville High School's Science Olympiad team earned an impressive 3rd-place trophy at the Hawk & Hornet Invitational on November 16, competing against 50 teams from Michigan and northern Ohio. With hard work and collaboration across 23 STEM events, the team is now gearing up for their next invitational on December 7 in Northview, Ohio.

Students and staff from Hillside and Meads Mill Middle Schools participated in the Be Nice Symposium at Ford Field, joining over 570 student leaders from across Michigan to promote mental health awareness and advocacy. Through interactive workshops and initiatives like signing a Be Nice pledge banner, they are fostering a supportive school culture that empowers students to notice, invite, challenge, and empower others.

Northville's middle school FTC Robotics team, the Techoraptors #19940, advanced to the State Finals after an impressive performance at their first qualifiers in Bedford, earning the title of Finalist Alliance Partner. Their determination and teamwork shone as they overcame early setbacks to defeat strong opponents and reach the finals.

Moraine Elementary School celebrated its designation as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School, recognizing its commitment to student empowerment and academic excellence. Principal Joe Reimann and school representatives accepted the award in Washington, D.C., while students and staff back home cheered via a live stream; Moraine now plans a Service Learning Project to give back to the Northville community.

Northville Public Schools hosted the miGoogle 2024 Conference on November 5 at Northville High School, welcoming over 500 educators from across Michigan to explore innovative ways to enhance student learning through technology. With expert-led sessions and inspiring keynotes, the event equipped teachers with tools and strategies to engage students in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Kinderstangs launched as a cornerstone initiative by the Board of Education, the program is not only enriching the academic journey of the district's youngest learners but is also increasing student enrollment, further solidifying Northville’s reputation as a top-tier educational institution.

All six Northville elementary schools earned spots on the 2024 Leader in Me Lighthouse Academic Honor Roll, ranking in the top 94th percentile in Michigan for academic proficiency. This recognition highlights their exceptional academic performance and commitment to a leadership-centered school culture.
