Amerman Elementary Student Shines in Statewide Teacher Appreciation Video Campaign

A heartfelt video submission from an Amerman Elementary student is making waves across Michigan as part of a statewide initiative to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month.

The video, created by the student to recognize and thank Mrs. Mandjack, their beloved teacher at Amerman Elementary School, is featured among a collection of student tributes on the Michigan Department of Education’s (MDE) YouTube channel and Teacher Appreciation Month webpage.

Organized by MDE and the State Board of Education, this campaign invites students from across Michigan to express gratitude for their educators through short videos. These tributes are being shared throughout May in honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, with a special emphasis during Teacher Appreciation Week from May 5–9.

In the Amerman student's video, the young learner highlights Mrs. Mandjack’s kindness, encouragement, and intelligence in the classroom, offering a genuine and touching perspective on the daily impact teachers have.

Amerman Elementary is proud to see one of its students participating in this meaningful initiative, highlighting the strong connections between students and teachers that make learning come alive every day. Mrs. Mandjack’s influence is clearly felt—and now shared with a statewide audience.
