The Northville community is invited to attend a Candidate Forum on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Old Village School (2nd Floor), located at 405 W. Main Street, Northville, MI. The event, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Northwest Wayne County, aims to provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for the Northville Board of Education.
Seven candidates are running for four open seats, including:
- Ron Frazier
- Philip DeLoach
- Lisa McIntyre (incumbent)
- Jena Mabrey
- Aric Tosqui
- Meredith Riggan Maurer
- Priya Marwah
Several current Board members will be stepping down after completing their terms, including Lindsey Wilson, Jim Mazurek, and Sarah Prescott. Lisa McIntyre, who is seeking re-election, will be the only incumbent in the race.
During the forum, attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions, which will be posed to the candidates by a League of Women Voters moderator. Questions can also be submitted in advance via email to [email protected].
For those unable to attend, the forum will be videotaped, and a recording will be available on the League’s website at LWVnorthwestwayne.org within a week after the event.
