Join us for a fantastic mix of music and activities! We’ll get to know each other through games, fun activities, and crafts. Participants will receive instruction on their instruments, composition, and playing/reading sessions. Some meals will be provided as indicated on the schedule.
Camp Schedule:
Middle School or Intermediate Players (1-3 years experience)
- Dates: Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2
- Times:
- Monday - Wednesday: 9 am - 4 pm
- Thursday - Friday: 9 am - 1 pm (overlap/lunch with high school; lunch provided)
High School or Advanced Players (4+ years experience)
- Dates: Thursday, August 1 - Wednesday, August 7
- Times:
- Thursday - Friday: 11 am - 4 pm (overlap/lunch with middle school; lunch provided, followed by advanced music sessions and activities)
- Monday - Wednesday: 9 am - 4 pm (more advanced pace with pro-led sectionals and breakout MMC reading sessions for Symphony Orchestra students)
Beginners of Any Age
- Dates: Thursday, August 8 - Friday, August 9
- Times: 9 am - 4 pm (lunch provided on Friday only)
- This will be an exploratory format with students divided by instrument groups. High school and upper middle school leadership will assist. Depending on age groups and instrument availability, students may be further divided.
Please fill out the Registration Form. Payment can be dropped off or mailed to NHS, Attn: Johanne Ray-Hepp. We accept cash, checks made out to Northville Public Schools, or RevTrak. Unfortunately, we cannot prorate the fee for students who are unable to attend all days of the camp.
All days of Orchestra Camp will be held at NHS in the band room and other surrounding areas.
