Northville Public Schools proudly announces Amy Terry as the new principal of Ridge Wood Elementary, effective July 1, 2024. With her substantial experience and dedication to achieving educational excellence, Ms. Terry is prepared to elevate the school to new levels, drawing upon her accomplished tenure in the field of education.
The final decision represents the conclusion of a thorough selection process, focused on finding a highly skilled candidate capable of leading Ridge Wood Elementary School towards continued academic success and strong family engagement. Amy Terry emerged as the top candidate from a competitive pool, showcasing her impressive background and dedication to public education.
Ms. Terry’s contract was unanimously approved by the Northville Board of Education during its June 25th, 2024 meeting. She succeeds principal Beth Solensky who is moving out of Michigan for a new opportunity.

In addition to a variety of leadership and educational experiences, Ms. Terry has sixteen years of experience in public education, serving as a learning consultant, classroom teacher, and technology coach. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and a certification as an Elementary and Secondary Administrator.
Ms. Terry shared, “I am honored and excited about the opportunity to work with the wonderful staff at Ridge Wood and to get to know the students and families in this community. I look forward to continuing the legacy of Northville’s high standards and helping the students and staff become the best versions of themselves.”
