Handbook & School Supplies
Student Handbook
The Amerman Elementary handbook will provide you with general information regarding our curriculum, school policies, expectations and procedures.
Every child is unique, and we will do everything we can to see that your child gets the type of education that meets his/her needs. We are proud of our tradition of being a community school. You will find our teachers and support staff to be competent and enthusiastic. We are dedicated to promoting each child's academic, physical, emotional, and social development. As a “Leader in Me” Lighthouse School, our focus is to integrate Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into our curriculum to promote leadership among our students. This process of developing leaders empowers students and helps unleash each child’s full potential.
Since it is our desire to be responsive to our students’ needs, we encourage your participation and input as our educational program unfolds this year. We will keep you informed and knowledgeable about school, and we depend upon your cooperation and support. We hope that you get actively involved in your child's education by participating in the Amerman Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
We hope this booklet will answer some questions you may have about us. With your support, I look forward to this school year and believe that, together, we can make a difference. If at any time you have any questions or concerns regarding Amerman School, please give me a call or stop by the office.
School Supply Lists
Please note that the supply lists are simply suggestions of helpful items and are strictly voluntary, as the Northville Public Schools provides the necessary supplies and materials for your child’s successful school experience.
